Application:

Trioctylamine (Tri-n-Octylamine; TOA) (CAS: 1116-76-3) is used as an extractant for organic acids and precious metals. Trioctylamine is used as an extractant for organic acids like trichloroacetic acid, succinic acid, acetic acid and precious metals. Syntheses material intermediates. It is also used as a solvent and an intermediate in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Further, it is employed in the preparation of quaternary ammonium compounds, agrochemicals, surfactants, lubricant additives, corrosion inhibitors, vulcanization accelerators and dyes. Used as a precious metal extractant. In the metallurgical industry, it is used to extract and separate cobalt, nickel, actinides and lanthanides. Uses It is used in organic synthesis, it is a heat-resistant, solvent-resistant, polymerized rubber antioxidant, and it is an intermediate in the synthesis of NAPM. Used in the production of phase transfer catalysts, rubber additives and corrosion inhibitors. Trioctylamine is also used in treatment of industrial waste water by complexing extraction,especially used in treatlnent of the water containing organic acids and esters.
