Application:

N-Methylthiourea (CAS: 598-52-7) can be used as an organic synthesis intermediate, pharmaceutical intermediate, or chemical reagent.
Production method Add Methyl Isothiocyanate dropwise to concentrated ammonia water under stirring, add it, and heat to remove excess ammonia. After the reaction mixture was decolorized by activated carbon, methyl thiourea crystals were precipitated by cooling. Yield 74%-81%.
