1. Appearance: White or off-white crystalline powder (View by eye)
2. Specific Rotation: +18.0° ~ +20.0° (C=1, in 1N HCl)
3. Loss on Drying: nmt 1.00% (80-90℃, 4-5h)
4. Residue on Ignition: nmt 0.20% (According to General Method of GB9741-88).
5. Assay: nlt 98.0%
Weigh 0.6g sample(dry), make it dissolved in the 25ml H2O, add 50ml AgNO3 into it, shake it, then, add 3ml HNO3 and 2ml NH4Fe(SO4)2·12H2O (an indicator, 80g/L). Use NaSCN standard solution to titration. Before the end, must strenuous shake it, till clear (if can’t see the end, please add 3ml Nitrobenzene, strenuous shake it, till Nitrobenzene and precipitate bunch up, then continue to titration, till appear light red-brown and keep 30-second.
Blank Test: Make 50ml AgNO3 in the 25ml H2O, shake it, add 3ml HNO3 and 2ml NH4Fe(SO4)2·12H2O(an indicator, 80g/L). Use NaSCN standard solution to titration. Before the end, must strenuous shake it, till clear (if can’t see the end, please add 3ml Nitrobenzene, strenuous shake it, till Nitrobenzene and precipitate bunch up), then continue to titration, till appear light red-brown and keep 30-second.
