Suitable for the reduction of double and triple bonds, aromatics, carbonyls, nitriles, and nitro groupsPlatinum(IV) oxide monohydrate is used as a catalyst in hydrogenation, hydrogenolysis, dehydrogenation, and oxidation reactions in organic synthesis. It also finds application in ceramic industry, inorganic chemistry and in chemical synthesis. It is utilized for the selective reduction of alkenes without reducing nitro group. Electrochemically prepared for catalyst use.
Catalyst for hydrogenation of various functional groups; used as dehydrogenation catalyst; used for selective oxidation of primary alcohols. Catalyst for: Hydrohydrazination reactions; Oxidation of sugars, Low-temperature oxidation of carbon monoxide, Oxygen reduction reaction, Hydrogenation reactions, Hydrogenolysis of the cyclopropyl group into an isopropyl group, Hydroxycyclopropanation reactions.
