Application:

Potassium Tetrachloroplatinate (II) (CAS: 10025-99-7) is the chemical compound with the formula K2PtCl4. 1, It is an important raw material for preparing other platinum compounds; 2, Used as a catalyst for hydroformulations, photocatalysts; 3. Oxaliplatin intermediate; 4. Preparation of precious metal catalyst and precious metal coating; 5. Used as analytical reagent; 6. It is used as catalyst in the hydroarylation reaction. 7. Potassium Tetrachloroplatinate (II) solution is used in the preparation of platinum (Pt) nanoparticles. Ligands like ammonia or triphenyl phosphine can able to replace the chloride ligands to afford various derivatives. The replacement by ammonia results in the preparation of cisplatin, which is used in the cancer treatment. Further, it is used as catalyst in the hydroarylation reaction.
