Bis(2-Chloroethyl)amine Hydrochloride (CAS: 821-48-7) is used as an organic synthesis intermediate, pharmaceutical intermediate. Intermediate of Ketoconazole (CAS: 65277-42-1), Itraconazole (CAS: 84625-61-6) and Terconazole (CAS: 67915-31-5). Ketoconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal imidazole. Itraconazole is an artificially synthetic clotrimazole, being a broad-spectrum synthetic antifungal agent. Its antimicrobial spectrum and antimicrobial mechanism is similar to clotrimazole, but has strong antibacterial activity against Aspergillus. Terconazole is an antifungal agent somewhat more potent than clotrimazole and useful in the topical treatment of vaginal dermatophytosis and candidiasis.

Bis(2-Chloroethyl)amine Hydrochloride (CAS: 821-48-7) is obtained by the reaction of diethanolamine and thionyl chloride. Dissolve thionyl chloride in chloroform, and drop a mixture of diethanolamine and chloroform below 0℃. Control the droplet acceleration to maintain the temperature at -4-6℃. After adding, keep the temperature and stir for 30min. Stir at room temperature for 1h, heat to 60-65℃, after all crystallization is precipitated, add anhydrous ethanol, heat and reflux to dissolve all. Pour out while hot, cool naturally, and precipitate crystals. Filter the next day and wash twice with chloroform or absolute ethanol. Dry to obtain a finished product with a 76% yield.
