Application:

2',4'-Dichloroacetophenone (CAS: 2234-16-4) is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate in the synthesis of Ketoconazole drugs, Ketoconazole Intermediate. 2',4'-Dichloroacetophenone is used as a reagent in the synthesis of sydnone sulfonamide derivatives as antibacterial, antifungal, antiproliferative, and anti-HIV agents. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of pyrimidine thiazolidinone conjugates which exhibit anticancer activity. 2',4'-Dichloroacetophenone was used in the synthesis of the Schiff base derivatives. 2',4'-Dichloroacetophenone is also used as a pesticide intermediate.
