Ethyl (Ethoxymethylene)cyanoacetate is an intermediate in the synthesis of anti-inflammatory agents with gastroprotective effect in rats.

94-05-3 - Production Method:

Ethyl cyanoacetate, triethyl orthoformate and acetic anhydride were sequentially added to the reaction pot, stirred and heated to 140℃, and refluxed for 4 hours, distillation was performed under reduced pressure until there was no distillate. Cooling, crystallization, filtration, washing with an appropriate amount of ethanol and drying gave ethyl ethoxymethylcyanoacetate.
