Application:

1-Boc-3-Piperidone (CAS: 98977-36-7) is useful in stereocontrolled synthesis of chiral compounds. 1-Boc-3-Piperidone is used as an important raw material and intermediate used in organic synthesis, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyestuff and other fine chemical. 1-Boc-3-Piperidone is a compound that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is an oxalyl derivative of piperidone and has minimal activity as an acid catalyst. The optimal reaction conditions are at low pH, with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid. 1-Boc-3-Piperidone also reacts with sodium methoxide to form the corresponding methyl ester. As a reagent, it is used in asymmetric synthesis to produce optically pure compounds.
