It is also involved in the transformation of P,N-sulfinyl imine ligands through condensation with aldehydes and ketones, which can undergo iridium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of olefins. Further, it serves as a reagent for the preparation of chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates.
