TRIS hydrochloride is a commonly used laboratory reagent. Highly water soluble. Useful pH Range 7.2~9.0. Tris-HCl is commonly used as a buffer component of phenol extraction of DNA or RNA and a buffering component of separating and stacking gels in the characterization of protein products by SDS-PAGE.
