Application:

HATU (CAS: 148893-10-1) is a peptide coupling reagent and used in peptide synthesis. HATU is used in the reaction of carboxyl group and amino group to synthesize peptide bond. HATU is also involved efficiently to speed up the coupling process and reduces the loss of chiral integrity. 
Peptide coupling reagent; use solid-phase synthesis method to prepare N-arylsulfonamide-linked peptides; the latest research shows that the crystal and solution structure of the coupling agent is guanidine salt N-oxide, not urea cationic compound; effective coupling agent in solid-phase peptide synthesis. 
HATU belongs to the guanidinium group of coupling reagents ( HBTU, TBTU, HCTU, TCTU). Most efficient coupling reagent, showing less epimerization during coupling in SPPS/Fmoc protocols. A “golden standard” in SPPS peptide chemistry, difficult couplings, and fragment condensation. 
HATU is a highly active coupling reagent that often produces superior results in difficult couplings compared to HBTU. Coupling reactions utilizing HATU generally are faster, produce higher yields and less racemization.
Reagent for: Synthesis of Aurora A kinase inhibitors; Amide bond formation reactions. Catalyst for: Selective acylation; Selecocyclization-oxidation deselenation sequence; Preparation of N-arylsulfonamide-linked peptides by solid-phase synthesis.
