FAQ:

Application:

Ethynylbenzene, also known as Phenylacetylene, (CAS: 536-74-3), click chemistry, a useful protecting group (Ph2P(O)) reagent for terminal ethynes for the synthesis of electronic devices. Commonly used intermediates for asymmetric synthesis, and commonly used organic synthesis reagents. Ethynylbenzene is an alkyne hydrocarbon containing a phenyl group. can be used in the following aspects: 1, for organic synthesis and organic intermediates; 2, used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. Ethynylbenzene is suitable for the synthesis of terminal Alkynes by the reaction of substituted benzaldehyde with alkali. Ethynylbenzene, an aromatic hydrocarbon, is important in the petrochemical industry as an intermediate in the production of styrene, which in turn is used for making polystyrene, a common plastic material. Ethynylbenzene is involved in the preparation of styrene by reduction using Lindlar catalyst. Ethynylbenzene undergoes polymerization catalyzed by Rh and Pt complexes to form polyphenylacetylene.
