Cefixime is a third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic, in clinic used for the treatment of bacterial infectious diseases caused by Streptococcus (except Enterococci), Pneumonia chain, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Escherichia coli, Branhamella catarrhalis, Serratia bacteria, Citrobacter, Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella, Serratia, Proteus and Haemophilus Influenzae, etc. Cefdinir is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It is active against numerous Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including β-lactamase-producing E. coli, K. oxytoca, K. pneumoniae, and P. aeruginosa clinical isolates (MICs = 0.25-16 μg/ml).
