Nafamostat Mesylate (CAS: 82956-11-4), an anti-pancreatitis drug was prepared from 4-Guanidinobenzoic Acid Hydrochloride (CAS: 42823-46-1) and 6-Amidino-2-naphthol Methanesulfonate (CAS: 82957-06-0) in the presence of DCC (CAS: 538-75-0) with DMAP (CAS: 1122-58-3)as catalyst with an overall yield of about 28%. 6-Amidino-2-naphthol Methanesulfonate (CAS: 82957-06-0) was prepared from 6-Bromo-2-naphthol (CAS: 15231-91-1) by cyanidation, addition, aminolysis and salt formation.
Camostat Mesilate (CAS: 59721-29-8), a drug for pancreatitis treatment was prepared from p-guanidinobenzoic acid hydrochloride and N,N-dimethylcarbamoylmethyl-p-hydroxyphenylacetate in the presence of DCC (N,N-Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, CAS: 538-75-0) using DMAP (4-Dimethylaminopyridine, CAS: 1122-58-3) as catalyst.
