2-Ethyl-4-Methylimidazole (CAS: 931-36-2) can be used as a: cross-linker for epoxy resins to synthesize network polymers with improved thermal resistance and physical properties. Curing agent for polysiloxane episulfide resin (PSER). It is low viscosity light yellow liquid with excellent compatability with epoxy resin; soluble in water and most organic solventrs; basic; will turn dark with long time exposure to sunlight; has excellent electic insulation property, good resistance to chemicals and mechanical strength. Used as a curing agent for epoxy resins and also in the electronics industry. Used for epoxy resin bonding, coating, casting, encapsulation, impregnation and composite materials.
